Pool Party Ideas: Party Styling and Printables

My kids (and I) LOVE splashing around the pool, and I wanted to create a really fun atmosphere for this party with simple but very colorful details to celebrate the beginning of our summer holidays! Inspired by everything "pool"and off course summer, I created a printable Pool Party Collection to help embellish our fun pool-side snack table!

I used a picnic table so the snacks, desserts and sitting area were all-in-one, making it very practical and relaxed with all the treats right at arms length! A parasol was essential to keep the sun at bay, and worked a treat to help hang some paper lantern from.




The centerpiece was a DIY cake stand created by stacking cake drums with pool noodles that I cut up to size. The noodles were wrapped in printable scrapbook paper from the collection, and I cut foam place mats to fit the diameter of the cake drums. The stand was used to present some summer jellies, which I served up in mini plastic pails in keeping with the theme!

I did NOT want to spend loads of time cooking, so I just raided my pantry for the treats, and jazzed them up with the help of the printables! :)

On either side of the table I displayed some ice cream cupcakes, made by filling ice cream cones with mini chocolate muffins and topping with cream cheese frosting and sprinkles. All finished off with a cherry from my garden on the top to emulate real ice creams - These looked really cute, tasted great and did not suffer in the heat like normal ice cream would - tutorial here!



The cones were inserted into a polystyrene block and displayed upright inside a white planter, and some decorative printable party icons on sticks for a dash of color. These icons also served as fun pool side photo props!

Because this was a pool snack table, we had hot dogs served in the printable snack trays from the collection, and some refreshing drinks served in cute glass bottles decorated with fun pool party printables also from the collection.

Pool Birthday Party Ideas: Party Favors and Activities

We had large bubble blowers, water guns and inflatable pool toys off course, and each guest got to take home a little bucket filled with pool goggles, a little towel, water pistol and bubbles - All decorated with printable favor tags and illustrations from the Pool Party Kit.
