You all probably know that I'm a HUGE Amy Atlas fan, right? Well, guess my double joy this week when I found out my Jubilee Rule Britannia Party was gonna be featured on Amy's blog?!!
Then, guess how much more excited I got when Lisa (Amy's right hand dessert doyenne), asked me if I wanted to host a giveaway for Amy's latest book "Sweet Designs"?! (Let's just say I did a little nerdy dance...).
I've just this week ordered my very own copy of Amy's book on Amazon, but now one of you can get your hands on the book by entering our Amy Atlas giveaway!!
Amy Atlas is an inspiration to a whole generation of party stylists, designers and women who follow their dreams! So it's my huge pleasure and honor to share with you a few sneak peeks from the "Sweet Designs" book pages - Plus, one lucky winner will get their hands on a copy of the book! Sweetness indeed! :)

ReplyDeleteIf I had to design a fun dessert table it would definitely involve red and white colors and the use of polka dots. Probably some ruffles and burplap as well. Hmmm.....got the wheels turning now.

ReplyDeleteIf I were design a dessert table, say for a baby or bridal shower, I would ask the guests (and the guest of honor if they knew about the party) what their sweetest moment in life was and if they had a picture or mementos to commemorate it. So whether a graduation, getting married, birth of a child, promotion, etc...I would create a dessert table with all these "Sweetest Moments" using pictures and mementos. There are endless possibilities for this, but I envision black and white since these events happened prior to the party and maybe one color to use for small details and highlights that goes with the type of party (i.e. pink for a girl baby, baby blue for boy baby, wedding color for bridal shower etc). I would do an "instagram" style with the photos, not really using the instagram app, but creating an older, antiqued look with the photos. Maybe I could use the black corner tabs as if they were in a photo album and then put the black photo tabs on the label cards for all the desserts and treats on the table.
ReplyDeleteI don't know exactly how I'd style a table, but for sure lots of color!
