Fall is one of my favorite seasons. Mainly because of all the the wonderful produce in season this time of year, and the tasty treats we bake (and eat) with them, of course! 😉
Our apple trees were covered in fruit these past few weeks, and it has been a real treat, I tell ya! We've had apple pies, apple crumbles, apple compotes and even apple chips baked in the oven and covered in cinnamon. YUM!
But one of my fav ways to use up all them apples, is with a Caramel Apple Station!
Apples make the best snacks for the kids. So if you combine them with delicious toppings like caramel, cookie butter and endless crunchy toppings, then you have a perfect snack bar for after school treats or for entertaining this season!
These caramel apple stations are a great no-fuss way to serve desserts too, and it will be a huge hit at Thanksgiving with the whole family. Not to mention super easy to pull off!
If the thought of crunchy apples drenched in caramel and rolled in delicious toppings wasn't enough to add the fun-factor and spice up any snack-time, I added these cool Mardi Gras Napkins to our caramel apple station just to be on the safe side 😋
These napkins helped ignite spontaneous, fun and unexpected family conversation with their super-cool illustrated prints featuring clever conversation starters! They come in 200, 250, 500, and 700 count packs with a variety of conversation starter prints in each pack.
My kids loved reading all the jokes, riddles and fun facts on the napkins. Not to mention that they looked super cool on the table, and helped to tame the all inevitable sticky mess. And did I mention they're super affordable too, at about a penny per napkin? Win, win, win!

Creating a tasty and fun caramel apple station for your party or snack-time isn't hard. But here are a few tips and tricks to making it all happen stress-free.
DIY Caramel Apple Station
Ingredients and Materials
* Apple slices – If you're preparing the slice ahead, then I suggest you rub a little lemon juice on them to stop them browning. Any crisp apples will do.
* Kid-safe wooden sticks – I like to use thin sticks especially made for caramel apples, as they don't have sharp ends and help hold the thin slices better than the thicker ones.
* Mardi Gras Napkins

* Dipping Sauces:
Don't stop at caramel sauce! A few suggestions below.
* caramel sauce
* dulce de leche
* cookie butter
* chocolate spread
* dark, milk or white melted chocolate
* cream cheese
* Tasty Toppings:
* chocolate chips
* coconut flakes
* cookie crumb (I crumbled butter shortbread)
* chopped nuts
* chopped currants or cranberries
Prepping your caramel apple station:
1) Prepare all the bowls ready for your dipping sauces and toppings.
2) Set the table with a chopping board, apple sticks, apples slices or whole and plenty of cool Mardi Gras Napkins!
3) Just before serving, melt chocolate, and warm dulce de leche and cookie butters in the microwave for a few seconds, until soft enough to coat the apples.
4) Get the kids 'round the table and let the fun begin! :)
