Christmas is a few days away, but you still have time to add a little crafty touch to your party tables and drinks stations!
Whether you're hosting a cocktail party or full-on Christmas dinner this holiday season, these ornamental drink stirrers will help jazz up your drinks from now until New Year's Eve!
Come to think of it, they'd be a perfect match for our Pomegranate Moscow Mule cocktail we shared yesterday! 😊
These ornament drink stirrers look so festive but are a cinch to make!
I personally love make drink stirrers at Christmas time because we're forever serving festive beverages and cocktails this time of year. And with a tiny, and I mean super tiny, crafty touch you can totally transform any glass into a party-ready glass!
There are so many ways to make these drinks stirrers, but you basically need small ornaments or holiday trinkets (no more than 1 inch in size, I'd say) to create a festive and pretty decor to ornate your cocktail bar and drinks stations.
Here are a couple of cute and quick options, one using a silver bauble which was from my Merry & Bright Cocktail party last year; and the other using a glittery pink star from this year's Pink & Copper Christmas party!
But as you can see, you can probably switch up the ornaments or trinkets to match your own party colors and theme!
For this DIY I didn't bother taking photos of the steps as they are so easy, even a child could make them! 😉
DIY Ornaments Drink Stirrers
Materials:
* Christmas or holiday ornaments no more than 1 inch in size
* pretty party straws
* hot glue gun
* scissors or pliers
Directions:
1) Remove the caps, string or wire from ornaments using scissors or pliers. Make sure the ornaments are free from any plastic or metal parts that may hurt anyone.
2) using your hot glue gun, add a generous amount of glue to the edge of the ornaments or a little on the inside if it's a hollow piece hollow.
3) Glue the ornaments to the tip of the straws, holding in place for a few seconds until dry. Ta-dah!
See, you still have time to get your glue gun out and make these in time for Christmas! 😉
Hope you enjoy this crafty idea and feel inspired to create!
Wishing you and yours a very Merry & Blessed Christmas 😘
I love these! The best part is they can be used year round and not just for Christmas - I can totally see the star ones at a fairy princess party :)
