We're taking a little pause from ornaments and tinsel today to share some fun party ideas for kids - Any winter babies out there? 😉

We teamed up with WowWee and got to test-drive their Robo-Toys, which are sure to Spark Your Kids’ Interest - and  Imagination! 

And as any self-respecting party-lover, I had to style a super adorable party and freebie printables to match the equally adorable Minion MiP Turbo Dave!! 

Of course, the WowWee Minion MiP Turbo Dave also makes a great birthday or Christmas present, and an super unique table decor that your kids can enjoy waaaay after the party. That's what I call a win, win!

In-keeping with the Minion colors, I chose yellow and blue party decorations like balloons, paper rosettes and honeycomb balls, and casually laid them out on the table to form a colorful garland that doubled also as a backdrop.

This is ideal if you have a table tucked against the wall or for a buffet or credenza, or feel free to hang the decor behind it if you need to.

I used the small Minion MiP Turbo Dave as main table centerpiece, which looked super adorable and the kids get to play with it during the party too!

To add height and interest, I made these Minion inspired candy tubes by filling gumball tubes with candy in yellow and blue to match the party. I then glued a Minion figurine on top of each candy tube. These also can serve as party favors - I love it when decor doubles as something practical! 😍

For each place setting, I used Minion themed place mats and colorful party tableware in yellow and blue again to match our party color palette.

Minion Inspired Easy Party Treats

For the party sweets and treats we kept things simple - perfect for an impromptu celebration or play date too!

We served Minion-shaped cookies, yellow and blue marshmallows and cupcakes decorated with a printable Minion inspired topper.

We also have a blue gumball machine filled with yellow candy that the kids can help themselves to.

For drinks, orange juice is the obvious choice that pairs perfectly with the yellow Minion color. But milk is also a great alternative for the younger kids.

Minion Inspired Free Party Printables

No party of mine is complete without cute printables! These Minion inspired printable decorations are perfect to jazz up any basic tableware you already have, like in the case of our cute drinks bottles! Aren't they so adorable?

But why stop there?! You could use the FREE templates to decorate plates, backdrops, gifts and more!

We also designed some Minion inspired cupcake or dessert toppers in a  rectangular shape, so it's easier to cut; and cute gift or favor tags to help you embellish your pretty packaging.

And can we take a sec. to appreciate the MinioneseTM (official Minion language) "Para Tu"on the tag?! 😁

Minion Inspired DIY Party Favors & Gifts

As I said, the DIY gumball tubes doubled as party favors along with some cute Minion toys and trinkets, all beautifully packaged in yellow and blue polka dot favor bags! 

To complete the Minion party favor look we added a "Para Tu" gift tag to the front of the bag - Easy as banana pie! 😋
