Since the recent release of the new Aladdin movie, I've been dying to style a Princess Jasmine Birthday Party!
The Aladdin Disney animated movie is one of my all-time favorites, so it seemed like the perfect occasion to share some dazzling, yet super easy ideas to help you create an enchanting birthday party around this theme!
Princess Jasmine Birthday Party - DIY Decorations
Princess Jasmine Wall Decals
For this Princess Jasmine birthday party, I teamed up with Fathead, who carry an array of decals that are perfect for helping me decorate and change the look of my party space easily and quickly!
Plus, there is a very high level of quality with both the vinyl and the decal image itself, they're so easy to put up and move, and won't damage the walls when you take them down. Cool or what?!
Fathead carries soooo many Disney themed decals, including this gorgeous Princess Jasmine collection that I used throughout my party. I love how the decals helped to tie the party theme together so effortlessly!
I used the decals as the main decorations behind my main dessert table, which also doubles as a photo-booth, and also as a table backdrop to my drinks and favors station.
This particular decal comes with three different princess Jasmine designs and lots of other matching smaller decals like colorful flowers, a cute peacock and an Aladdin wishing lamp.
Therefore, I was able to play around with the positioning of the decals and try out a few different combinations to see which ones matched my party space best. The decals are so easy to move around, you simply peel them off the wall and re-position them where you like!
But of course, you don't have to limit yourself to party decorations. These wall decals make great bedroom, nursery or home decorations too!
Fathead also has a ton of other movie, entertainment, sports and various other themes and custom options to help you decorate for any party or event you may be hosting!
DIY Balloon Garland
To frame my Princess Jasmine wall decals, I decide to create a colorful balloon garland around my main dessert table.
I used turquoise, pink and purple balloons in-keeping with my party color palette, and you can see a tutorial for these garlands on my YouTube channel here.
I love how dramatic the table backdrop looks with a combination of the decals and the balloon garland!
It's such an easy decor idea for so many party themes, and super simple to pull off too!
Printable Birthday Invitations
No birthday party is complete without cute invites, so I designed this pretty princess Jasmine inspired invitation set to match our party theme, that you can download here!
These printables invitations come with a super pretty cover that opens up to show the invites inside. Cute or what?!
Princess Jasmine Birthday Party – The Desserts Table
For this Princess Jasmine party I drew inspiration from the wall decals' colors to style my entire party, including my main dessert table.
To cover the table itself, I layered a turquoise tablecloth with a purple runner on top, a pink shimmery runner and finalized it with a gold sequin runner to add texture, shine and inject instant color.
To finish off the table decor, I added gold elements like a glass “treasure chest” (a jewelry box) filled with gold coins (chocolate coins), gold candlesticks with fuchsia pink candles, turquoise lanterns for an Arabian vibe, as well as some gold vases with violet anemones for the girly touch.
I love how opulent and rich this table decor looked, without being too over the top!
Princess Jasmine Birthday Party – The Dessert Menu
The main attraction of our dessert table is of course our dazzling, tiered cake!
The three tiers were colored in purple, gold glitter and fuchsia pink to match our party colors, and adorned with gold mesh ribbon for a touch of sparkle.
To top it off, I included a gold Aladdin wishing lamp (bought online) as a cake topper. My kids loved how it looked, and again, this is a super easy idea to copy at home!
I love how this faux cake turned out! Of course, if doing a cake for a real party, I'd cover the cake in fondant and use edible gold glitter and lace around the tiers. But hopefully this gives you an idea of a pretty and easy cake design your own party!
French macarons always represent a super special, decadent treat! So to complete our luxurious desserts menu, I chose macarons in our party colors of purple, turquoise and fuchsia pink, and served them in a gold leaf tray. These were real macarons and oh-so delicious!
We also served turquoise marshmallows in a smaller gold leaf tray alongside the macarons.
Princess Jasmine Birthday Party – The Drinks and Favors Table
In another part of the room, I set up a drinks and favors station.
It's a super practical idea to keep the drinks separate from the main desserts table, so guests can actually serve themselves throughout the party.
To cover this table, I once again layered various tablecloths and table runners to create a luxurious feel and to add texture.
For drinks, I served a mint and pineapple cordial, which happens to look turquoise and match our party colors perfectly!
To serve the drinks, I opted for gold goblets and turquoise straws, again to match our party palette.
On the far right side of the table, I displayed the favor boxes inside a gold, mirrored tray.
The favor boxes were decorated with the same gold mesh ribbon used in the cake, and I think it looks so pretty and adds another touch of shimmer to the ensemble!
Some simple and easy party favor ideas include Princess Jasmine themed trinkets or edible treats like decorated cookies for your guests to take home.
I hope you like these dazzling Princess Jasmine birthday party ideas and feel inspired for your own celebrations! If you do, don't forget to tag #BirdsParty on social media so we can see and share your party ideas with our community!

ReplyDeleteThis looks stunning, my daughter loves your theme & now wants it for her 5th birthday party! Her eyes lit up when she saw it! I was just wondering what size your balloon garland was please?
ReplyDeleteHi there, so glad you like it! :) I didn't actually measure, I just made the balloon to fit my wall space, but I guesstimate it's about 4-5 m in length or 13 to 16 ft
