DIY No-Sew Christmas Gnomes with FREE Templates
These Scandinavian inspired Christmas gnomes have been trending on Pinterest for a couple of years and I'm still obsessed with how adorable they look!
Being the crafter that I am, I couldn't resist making my own this Christmas, and today I'm sharing my super easy, inexpensive, NO-SEW Christmas gnomes + the FREE templates I designed to make the whole project a lot easier for us all! 😉

There are several ways to make these gnomes, but I think I came up with a reeeeeally simple way, which is also quite inexpensive and a lot more precise. Yes, 'cause apart from being crafty, I'm also a stickler for consistency! 😋
I've seen various ways other people make these by sewing them, by using socks filled with rice, using polystyrene cones, or by simply winging it...But none of those appealed to me.
So I took materials that I already had at home, and designed my own templates for the gnome's body, hat and beard, and got to crafting my own version.
This project is also great to make with your kids (adult supervision is essential due to the hot glue involved), and my daughter loved making these to decorate her own bedroom for Christmas!
These cute Christmas gnomes are so quick to make too, once you have your templates. And you can whip up a few in a flash!
I used quite traditional colors and went with a simple, clean Scandinavian vibe for my gnomes, but feel free to change up the colors of the felt to create custom gnomes that will suit your own Christmas decor.
These Christmas gnomes would be adorable decorations for your mantel, table centerpiece or even your tree!

I'm thinking I'll be making some in pink and red for Valentine's day too! How cute would that be?! 😍

DeleteI love your version of these gnomes and will be doing them with my grade 6 & 7 students this year. Where did you buy your felt and fun fur?
ReplyDeleteHi, I bought the felt in a craft store and the fur was an inexpensive rug in France, but you can get similar on Amazon or the Dollar Tree is US.
