Spring's in full bloom, true. But still can't avoid those April showers, so we might as well celebrate them. Because if nothing else, that's when we're more likely to see a pretty rainbow! ;) And who doesn't love rainbows?! The colors are an instant pick me up, and perfect for injecting a little cheer into our seasonal birthdays, baby showers or any other celebration this time of year!

As part of our inspiration week, we couldn't finish without a super fun theme for the boys . Or girls for that matter, 'cause we actually get just as many sweet customers styling it for their birthday girls ! In fact, the theme came about from my own love of science . You probably don't know this, but I used to be an chemical engineer before parties took over my life...anyways, I relished the chance to design something that included a lab coat, molecular structure designs, and the good ol' test tube . This color party theme has to be one of my favorites. I think it has a lot to do with my love of red and all things 'toadstools' . Don't ask me to reason with you, but there's just something so whimsical about them! Have you ever been tempted to go monochrome for Halloween? I did last year , and totally loved it! Monochrome is sleek, is chic and is one of the Fall color trends for 2013. What's not to love?! I think this palette is really easy to pull together (think mummies, spiders, bats, crows...) and really helps to add an air of grown-up sophistication to Halloween festivities.
