I love kitsch, whimsical and colorful Halloween party decorations, but last year I decided to try my hand at a more demure styling for Birds' Party Magazine - Black and White Halloween ! But since the bling-lover in me could not sit still, I added a pinch of sparkle here and there! ;)
Christmas is when I bake the most. Every weekend, it's a new cookie recipe I like to try. And these days, I find myself reaching for my gluten free brownie cookies over and over again! These brownie cookies are fudgy in the center and slightly crisp on the edges. They pack a huge chocolate flavor and have that umami note that make it my (and my family's) favorite cookies EVER! I love brownies. And cookies. So the idea of combining both brownies AND cookies into an easy-to-make recipe, is for me, the embodiment of Holiday baking 😉
Halloween for my family has always been about the fun costumes, snuggling up on the sofa while watching movies, and eating candy. So although Halloween may look a little different this year, we'll still just see it as an excuse to snuggle up on the sofa to watch fun movies...and eat lots of candy! 😁 Hence these adorably cute, decorative Halloween throw pillows to make our sofas a little more cozy and a lot more BOO-tiful 👻
Fall temps call for comfort food, am I right? Hence this decadent Oreo cake! Ever since I've shared my yummy strawberries and cream popsicles here on the blog, I've been asked if I can replace the cream with yogurt. So I decided to do just that, and have used Greek Yogurt instead of cream for a lighter, healthier take on these summer treats! Well, I didn't use any strawberries but mango puree instead. You can in fact use any seasonal fruit to make popsicles or frozen lollipops.
This recipe came about by accident, sort of. I was looking for a recipe online that I could make to use up all the blackberries I have growing in my garden. Eventually I found a simple enough cheesecake recipe and bought all the ingredients to make it, but on the day I decided to make it, the blackberries were not ripe yet! So, I swapped the blackberries for frozen summer berries (which I always have in the freezer), and it was a hit!
