POP is what I "hear" when I see the vibrant colors in this tablescape.  So Color Pop is what I'm calling this table style. You've probably guessed it's all about Mother's Day this week on the blog...And today, our contributor Gillian is sharing a super sweet, pretty but also easy to style  Mother's Day desserts table ! Check out her lovely ideas and details below...The bird cage is my fave! ;)

This stunning and so sweet Mother Hen Party was styled by my dear friend Lynlee from Lynlee's Petite Cakes for Bird's Party Magazine Spring/Summer 2012 . Lynlee is so mega talented and I loved collaborating with her on this special shoot! her ideas are so inspiring and I LOVE how she used the buffet cards backed by burlap! GENIUS! :) As always, not I'm bringing you some extra (exclusive) photos from the shoot, in hope that you may find some inspiration for your own Mother's Day bash! 

You needn't style something grandiose to please mom on her special day. Honestly, less is more. A simple but feminine table setting (for breakfast, brunch, picnic or lunch), combined with delicious treats that require no-baking or are very easy to make , look just as impressive, are quick to put together and perfect for dads and kids to re-create at home !

Remember the giant paper roses I made for this shoot ? Well, these area  smaller version of the roses but using crepe paper instead and making them into a beautiful bouquet for Mother's Day (weddings too or any other occasion you fancy!) They are so pretty, long-lasting, and easy to make, and are the perfect gift or craft for kids to get involved in (with a little supervision of course, as there are wire cutters involved!).  My daughter LOVED crafting with me on the weekend; and as a proud mom (not ashamed to say) I just couldn't help myself and took some extra shots of my precious,  pretty in pink baby ♥

My Mother's Day Color POP tablescape was inspired by pompoms.  And I can tell you we pompom-ed the heck out of everything. And I mean, E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G. Turns out pompoms are really versatile.  Think napkin rings, cute gift and favor packaging embellishments, headbands, jewelry...and even fridge magnets ! I LOVE the idea of decorative place-setting decor that also double-duties as a practical favor!
